Computer Aided Draughting & Design with Construction Technology FETAC (NCVA LEVEL 5) Award ACADX

Course Description:
This Course is directed at students who are of Leaving Certificate standard, students deferring places, V.T.O.S. students and those returning to the work place.
COURSE OBJECTIVE: To develop a high level of competency in Computer Aided Draughting which will enable the student to work effectively in a modern drawing office. It is designed to introduce students to a wide range of experiences in two dimensional craft and technology, development of concepts from design to working drawings.

WORK PLACEMENT: Placements are arranged whereby students spend one day per week throughout the year on work experience, which is provided in local firms.
Certification:
Students on successful completion of the Course will receive a FETAC (NCVA LEVEL 5) Award in Computer Aided Draughting & Design. Under the Higher Education Links Scheme, FETAC LEVEL 5 award holders are eligible to progress to third Level Courses in the Institutes of Technology.
PLC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Leaving Certificate or Equivalent
- Mature students accepted without Leaving Cert.
- Interviews.
Maintenance Grants
Students taking PLC Courses are now eligible to apply for maintenance grants. These grants are means tested.

FEES
There are no Tuition Fees for PLC Courses. Examination fees, membership fees of professional bodies (where applicable) and other sundry items (course materials) are payable at various times throughout the academic year.
