Course Title:

Hotel & Catering
FETAC (NCVA) LEVEL 5 – AWARD DHCXX

Hotel and Catering PLC - Templemichael College, Longford, Ireland

Course Description:

This is a one year full-time course which gives students practical experience in food preparation, food & beverage service, hospitality & accommodation targeted at the Hotel & Catering Industry. There is also a progression route to further training under the Higher Links Scheme.

Certification:

Students on successful completion of the Course will receive a FETAC (NCVA) LEVEL 5 Award.

Career Prospects

This Course will prepare students for employment in the field of Hotel & Catering or further study.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Leaving Certificate or Equivalent
  • Mature students accepted without Leaving Cert.
  • Interviews.

Leaving Certificate standard or its equivalent with a keen interest in catering.
Note: No previous experience needed for entry to course.

Maintenance Grants

Students taking PLC Courses are now eligible to apply for maintenance grants. These grants are means tested.

FEES

There are no Tuition Fees for PLC Courses. Examination fees, membership fees of professional bodies (where applicable) and other sundry items (course materials) are payable at various times throughout the academic year.
