Course Title: Office Administration with Legal Studies
FETAC (NCVA) LEVEL 5 – AWARD BBSSX
Course Description:
This is a one year computer-intensive course which has been designed to enable students gain a broad understanding of office administration and information technology. It is aimed at students of Leaving Certificate standard and leads to a FETAC Award in Business Studies Secretarial Level 5. Information Technology is a major growth area for employment and this course will facilitate the student’s integration into the work place. Legal Studies is an addition to this course.

FACILITIES: The computer room is equipped with state of the art computers using Microsoft Office 2007 and Internet linked with Broadband.
Certification:
Students on successful completion of the Course will receive a FETAC (NCVA) LEVEL 5 Award.
Under the Higher Education Links Scheme, FETAC LEVEL 5 award holders may apply for reserved places on Business Studies Courses, in Office Information Systems and related courses in the Institutes of Technology.
PLC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Leaving Certificate or Equivalent
- Mature students accepted without Leaving Cert.
- Interviews.
Maintenance Grants
Students taking PLC Courses are now eligible to apply for maintenance grants. These grants are means tested.

FEES
There are no Tuition Fees for PLC Courses. Examination fees, membership fees of professional bodies (where applicable) and other sundry items (course materials) are payable at various times throughout the academic year.
