Educational Trips and Tours

2nd Yr Geography students visited the Marble Arch Caves, County Fermanagh, to explore limestone formations such as stalactites and stalagmites. This trip enhanced their understanding of a key topic in the Junior Cycle Geography curriculum.

"The Big Dig" is an engaging event gave all junior History students the chance to experience the skills and life of an archaeologist firsthand.

Through a practical excavation of a replica early medieval Irish dwelling, students learned about uncovering artefacts and had the unique opportunity to see and hold genuine artefacts from the era.

Our international and 5th-year students visited Cruachan Ai and Sliabh Bán, learning about Queen Medb, Rathcroghan, and Halloween’s Irish origins. They also explored the Owennagat Cave, linked to Irish folklore.

3rd Year Science students visited Dublin Zoo for their Junior Cert ecology fieldwork. The group had a great day, combining education with fun in a fantastic setting!

3rd Year Home Economics students attended a practical cookery workshop at Multyfarnham Cookery School. They prepared and enjoyed a delicious two-course meal together, making it a fun and educational experience!

5th and 6th Year Art students visited the Hugh Lane Gallery and the National Gallery of Ireland. The trip provided them with the opportunity to explore a range of artistic styles and masterpieces, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of art.

Students from all years recently had enjoyed exciting trips to the River Valley Adventure Centre in Rooskey. They took part in various outdoor activities, fostering teamwork and adventure while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. It was a fun and memorable experience for all!

English and Drama students have enjoyed theatre visits to enhance their learning. They attended Grease at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre and Madagascar at the Olympia Theatre, experiencing the magic of live performance. These trips were a fun and educational way to bring their studies to life!

As part of Maths Week, 2nd Year students enjoyed a trip to GoQuest in Dublin. They took on a series of problem-solving challenges, combining teamwork and fun while putting their skills to the test. It was an engaging and exciting way to celebrate Maths Week!
