Junk Kouture

Junk Kouture in association with Bank of Ireland, has established itself as the premier fashion competition for teenagers throughout Ireland and aims to promote recycling and creativity. Students across secondary schools in Ireland are invited to rework trash and other used materials and to craft them into remarkable high-end couture fashion.

The design can be crafted into any style of wear, from modern and male, to high fashion and feminine. The key feature of the final design is that it must be made from 100% recycled materials which have outlived their intended purpose.

Students at Templemichael College have entered the Junk Kouture competition for the past two years and on both occasions, their hard work and dedication have earned them a place in the Regional Finals.
